EMS Billing Questions

EMS Billing Information

Singerly Fire Company began billing patient’s medical insurance for emergency medical services in 2001, in an effort to offset the rising cost of providing EMS. Reimbursement of these funds assists with operational expenses we incur in providing EMS care.  Providing the “Highest Quality” of professional patient care and treatment will continue to be our first priority in meeting the medical needs of our community.

As of April 2019, we partner with Digitech, a leading healthcare management company, to handle our EMS billing. Digitech customer service representatives handle questions or concerns about billing and insurance related to our EMS services provided.

Want to submit insurance information by mail? Request our paper insurance collection form.

Some insurance companies prefer to mail payment for ambulance transport to their customer rather than to Singerly Fire Company, even though our company filed the claim for the EMS service.

If your insurance carrier sent payment directly to you for our services, contact Digitech (888-326-4309). Arrangements must be made to have that payment applied directly to your account balance.

Singerly Fire Company has set up a HIPAA*-compliant lockbox with our contracted banker, whose mailing address for all EMS invoice payments is in Lancaster, PA. The address is:
