Singerly Fire Company Career Services is accepting applications and resumes to fill vacancies as shown below. Singerly Fire Company is a combination response company that handles over 5500 EMS and 1600 Fire/Rescue responses annually providing coverage to an over 89 square mile first due district.

Starting Salary

Position Hourly Annually
EMT $18.00 $41,301.00
EMT-Firefighter $18.75 $43,021.88
Paramedic $23.25 $53,347.13
Paramedic/Firefighter $24.00 $55,068.00
  • Full Time Annual Salary Includes:
    • Prescheduled overtime on 24/72 Schedule
    • Does not include
    • Unscheduled overtime
    • Holiday Pay (6 per year) (8 hours per holiday)
    • Holiday Overtime (paid when working actual holiday)

Benefits include:

  • Full Time
    • Employer matched 401k plan (1%/1%, 2%/2%, 3%/3%,5%/4%) employee/employer)
    • Employer paid health insurance coverage, for employee only (80% / 20% split)

    • Personal Time – 3/hrs/mo.
  • Full and Part Time
    • AFLAC accident and short term disability coverage offered (employee expense)
    • Supplemental Life Insurance through Transamerica (employee expense)
    • Employee Assistance Program
    • Grade/Step Wage Scale with regular step increases and longevity grade changes
    • Top out at step 20 (20 year mark)
  • Part Time Only
    • Paid Sick/Safe Leave based upon the State of Maryland Laws and Singerly Career Policy
    • - 1 hour for every 30 worked within a two week period (additional restrictions apply based upon policy that is in compliance with Maryland State Law)

Prospective employees must submit a resume or Application for consideration. Applicants must pass written ALS or BLS Maryland Protocol exam. Those applicants who successfully complete the written examination will attend a panel interview. Upon a conditional offer of employment, the applicant will undergo a comprehensive background and reference check and a complete fit for duty physical including a drug screening.
